Hmm, well ALTC was also quite alright, well probably due to the fact that this time round we were the ones running the camp not as participants. First day, I didn't go as I wasn't feeling well but I went on the second day which was yesterday.
Started off as usual, Muster Parade then PT. The PT was tough, and some obviously couldn't take it or were too thirsty.. (not going to give away too much). After that, they had tests for Part C. Hmm, the tests were alright, shall skip the details as it's mainly tests after tests. All in all, the Part C were rather consistent and did quite okay. Their weakest was the IFC where they were unable to manipulate what they were taught to use it in other ways. But still, the Camp was fun.
Dismissal was even more enlightening, xD We stood in a row and towards the end, shouted out the commands with each person shouting out one command. The scene was rather hilarious and following that, the Part Cs gave a brief "performance".
Overall, quite fun. Hopefully, there will be one more camp during June.

Okay I know this post is a late by a day but hey, better late then never right?
Anyway, the Prefects Camp yesterday was awesome. All the initial anxiety of something going wrong proved unneeded, the camp ran smoothly. And despite the heavy rain in the afternoon, we weren't daunted and re-located the last game for the Prefects "Amazing H2O Race". Trust me the game is much much more fun then the name.
Hmm the camp overall was fun, I could see the prefects enjoying themselves from initially being uncertain about how the camp would turn out to becoming extremely hyper and enthu at the end of the camp, in particular, the water games bit. Ice-breakers was fun; Hula-hula, Mrs Wright and Leg-o-rama.
Following that, didn't see the tournament as Kenneth and I were busy setting up the stuff for the water games from 1 - 4. can you imagine, refilling about 50 water bombs and 100 water balloons xD However it was all worth it in the end.
When the prefects arrived for the games, we started off by "ambushing" them which was splashing water on them. From there on, it was plain chaos and fun. The last game especially had them crawling through obstacles some laden with whipped cream and being splashed at. All in all, extremely fun and a camp that I would definitely remember for years to come. In fact in terms of enjoyment this would come out tops.
Hmm, that's all. Tomorrow will be NCC Camp. Hopefully there won't be a lightning risk (not gonna pray for no rain since it's raining almost everyday).

Hmm today woke up rather early for a weekend - 5:50, and washed up and headed for EXPO with my parents. In case you were wondering, no it's not for the food fair there but because we were going to Tekong visit at the invitation from Mindef. Hmm, upon arrival registered and sat a chartered bus to SAF Ferry Terminal. From there, had a reception before heading via ferry (duh) to Tekong.
I can't believe they actually transported the buses over on barges to Tekong just to accomodate the PRs. Well truth be told, if they wanted us to walk it wouldn't have taken much just a lot of perspiration and perhaps sore feet. I also found out that the alleged reputation that Tekong's temperature is 1 degree higher than that of the mainland is kinda true? (well kinda) The main reason for the heat is most probably due to the lack of trees at where we were. The whole island is rather serene and peaceful and not a sound. Seems like a good place to stay cept that it's rather isloated and appears to be boring with nothing much to do and hardly a soul in sight cept for a company ? Or perhaps the other companies were in school 2.
Shan't say too much about the actual details of the trip there but it was rather fruitful. The only main problem was the return ferry back. The upper deck of the ferry's airconditioning was spoilt I guess, it was extremely stuffy and once we disembarked, we went onto the bus, thinking that we could enjoy some cool air but alas, same problem. But at least it was resolved, then went straight to Tuition. xD
All in all, rather eye-opening experience. Tekong now is a far cry from the previous Tekong.

Hmm today was a half-day for us xD Credit goes to the 'B' division floorballers for defeating Victoria. As such we only attended lessons from the 5th - 9th period (excluding recess) and was dismissed at 10:15am. However, stayed back for Exco's briefing on camp and to finalise some stuff. Hmm, a few bumps but nothing too major. Quite long but it was fun nonetheless including some silly antics that we got up to. Imagine school ended at 10:15 but we left school at 7:00 pm. All the while was preparing some prefects stuff.
Quite alright though, tomorrow will be another long day. Morning, Mindef's invitation to Tekong and following that, tuition in the afternoon. Ah well, should be quite entertaining I suppose. xD Moreover, to welcome the holidays, we have tons of homework and tests to study for. Counting off the 3 days of camp (1 prefect, 2 NCC), we are left we only a few more to finish up the work. Should get it done quickly... till then, will enjoy a bit of a reprieve from studies too.

Hmm today school was as usual. After school had common test as I did not take it on monday. Hmm, the test was rushed... -.- There was no time to properly complete the test let alone check again for any mistakes. It's almost as though once you read the question you must immediately understand and attempt it. If you read it more then once, then it will seriously shorten the time you have for other questions.
After that, went for EXCO meeting awhile then finally went for NCC. The freestyle drill performance is finally complete. Now all is left is to work on synchronising the drills and ensuring that it becomes second nature to them. And also to let those who did not turn up to try their hands out with the moves.
Finally, went back home, showered and reached the alexandra park at 7:15. From there, Simranjeet, Francis, Zhan Soon, Jia Xi and me cycled to clarke quay -> Funan (where we had our dinner) -> clarke quay -> back. Along the way Sim and Francis got side-tracked =P At Zouk, the "All American Rejects" were playing some song and both of them stopped to listen to it. Well it was fun though, on the way back messed around a bit - wore sunglasses in the night - and chit chatted awhile.
Well, that's all. At least today's cycling was fun and all =D Next time, should try a new place perhaps towards Jurong East as we've covered Clementi the last time. Maybe in afternoon too. Heh.
